About usTeam Work/Collaboration
our skill sets complement one another, enabling us to provide more efficient diagnostic and treatment.
Ear nose throat, head and neck conditions are common, and often affect people’s overall health and lifestyle. At times these conditions can be life threatening and require urgent, specialist attention. To us, nothing matters more than your health and comfort, which is why Chris has put in so much time and effort into advancing his medical practice and techniques.
Most symptoms can be treated by a General Practitioner when patients present early. We encourage patients to see a GP first especially to avoid any unnecessary specialist costs, although we will not refuse a self-referral. It is our advice that all patients be GP registered
Team work and collaboration are especially essential to the care of patients in a decentralised health system with many levels of health workers. Our aim is to provide a high quality service and improve patient outcomes – we achieve this through interprofessional cooperation and collaboration.
Collaboration is initiated amongst our team of innovative specialists, enthusiastic staff and other like-minded healthcare providers. We prioritise the discussion of results, sharing of information, knowledge and suggestions through humility, and nurturing relationships. Our skill sets complement one another, enabling us to provide a quicker and more efficient diagnosis and a faster treatment process for our patients.
Collaboration with GPs and allied health practitioners, through this shared-care model, is essential to ensure best outcomes for our patients…
- We encourage patients to return to their referring health professional for continuation of care e.g. audiologist for hearing aids.
- If we were made aware of any misunderstandings between patients and their referring practitioners, we will assist in reconciling these missunderstandings.
- We provide educational and supporting material for practitioners and patients through our website.
Through a holistic approach to medicine, we look at all our patients lives as a whole. By doing this we form our diagnosis and treatment on the ‘whole picture’ rather than based on a single symptom. This is just one of many aspects we consider when forming any diagnosis. Your health deserves proper care and attention and we’re here to provide you with the time you need.
